Pantanal Araras Eco Lodge + Jaguar Express | 5 Days and 4 Nights

Reception at Cuiabá Airport. Brief introduction to the region and the journey. Departure at 1:20 PM or 5:00 PM, depending on the arrival flight, to the Pantanal. Part of the journey is along paved roads through rural areas. The “km 0” of the Transpantaneira Highway begins in Poconé (108 km from Cuiabá). Traveling along the Transpantaneira Park Road is, in fact, a true photographic safari, with frequent stops for wildlife observation and to admire the unusual landscape. After a very early breakfast, depart on a photographic safari towards the end of the Transpantaneira Park Road, Porto Jofre. Upon arrival, board our speedboat for a safari along the Cuiabá River, navigating its banks, beaches, and bays, where you may have the opportunity to spot hundreds of birds, giant otters, capybaras, or jaguars. The probability of encountering the largest feline in the Americas in this region and during the jaguar season is over 90%. Picnic lunch. Return to the embarkation point in Porto Jofre in the late afternoon. Enjoy the photographic safari on the return journey at sunset. Dinner at the lodge.

Right after breakfast, discover another one of our areas by hiking along the Ronco Trail. After afternoon tea, enjoy a 2- to 3-hour photographic safari in a specially equipped safari truck, in search of wildlife along the Transpantaneira Park Road. After dinner, take the opportunity to check with your guide the list of animals you had the opportunity to encounter during your visit.
