Cali Colombia

Cali is the capital of the department Valle del Cauca. With a population of nearly 2,5 million inhabitants, it is the third largest city in the country after Bogotá and Medellin. Cali is a bustling city with a tropical climate and pleasant atmosphere. Cali is known as the capital of rumba, street partying, dancing and salsa. The city is famous throughout Latin America for hosting Colombia's biggest festival, the Feria de Cali. Cali is one of the major economic and industrial centres of the country. It has a well preserved historical centre. Plaza de Caycedo is centrally located and surrounded by historic and modern buildings and also close to many historical churches. The city is rich in parks, squares and museums. The old, bohemian neighbourhood of San Antonio is a lovely area with trendy cafés, shops and restaurants lining picturesque colonial streets. It is on a hill, and at the top you'll find a park and San Antonio church with fantastic view of the city. And for party lovers, Cali will meet your expectations. Juancito is the salsa district with at least 30 salsa bars and clubs. Another party spot to visit is Avenida Sexta, a street filled with nightclubs and restaurants.
